Much of his early life’s education was received while herding sheep in Strawberry Valley and cattle in Payson Canyon. He was born on December 17, 1931, in Payson, Utah, the 4th child of Orrin Delbert and Mary Hicks Marvin.Ĭarl grew up in the Payson area and received his formal education in the Payson Schools, attending Peteetneet Elementary School, Payson Jr. Interment will be at the Bluffdale Utah City Cemetery.Carl Marvin passed away peacefully at home at age 90 on May 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Walker, her parents, Willis & Fern Tuckett, her son, Clark Adams, grandson, Daniel Adams, her sisters, Cheryl Argyle and Maureen Stone, her brother-in-law, Phil Argyle, and sister-in-law. She is also survived by her siblings, Bill Tuckett (Roberta), Janice Carter (Merrill), Dennis Tuckett (Dorothy), Joe Tuckett (Cheri), and brother-in-law, Erman Stone. She also enjoyed serving as a temple worker with Steve in the Manti Temple.Ĭarolyn is survived by her children, Robert Adams (Cindy), Gregory Adams (Amy), Russell Walker (Rachelle), Ryan Walker (Karen), 20 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She became a stronger and better person and was able to bring comfort to others around her as they faced the loss of loved ones. Her faith and knowledge that she would be reunited with him again was never in question. Carolyn’s 2nd son Clark was taken from this earth early in his life at the age of 7 years old. When overheard in prayer she was always pleading for the welfare of her family and others around her. She was often seen kneeling next to her bed praying. She had many callings and always strived to do her best at serving others. They finished raising their family in Sutherland and Carolyn remained there until her health required her to move in with her son.Ĭarolyn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She volunteered for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers at the Great Basin Museum. She worked at Droubay Chevrolet and at the M.E. Her teaching and training really became apparent with her sons as they went to college and served missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Ĭarolyn & Steve moved their family to Sutherland, Utah near Delta in 1991. In this household of all boys there were no chores based on gender, so the boys were taught to cook, clean, do laundry, and keep up the household as well as all of the farming and ranching responsibilities. Carolyn taught through example and was a proper role model. She also taught them to work, serve others, love the Lord, and be responsible. Being a tomboy herself, Carolyn was a wonderful mother to these boys and allowed them to have many adventures. Carolyn and Steve had 2 more boys giving them a total of 5 sons. They moved their new family to Bluffdale, Utah. Carolyn and Steve were later sealed in the Provo Temple. Stephen and Carolyn were married on July 12, 1973. Several years after her divorce she met Stephen Eldon Walker. Several years later they divorced and Carolyn moved from Wyoming back to her hometown in Lake Shore, Utah. Throughout her life she loved them and spent time refining her relationships with them.Ĭarolyn married Robert Adams in 1964 and they had 3 sons. Carolyn’s love for her siblings has always been one of the greatest things in her life. Food and fun always followed her to these get togethers. Any excuse to get together with her siblings and friends was a good excuse. She loved spending time with family and extended family and loved having parties and visits with others. Carolyn was an exceptional cook and could come up with wonderful, tasty dishes even when on a budget. She enjoyed foot races and won most of them, often beating the boys. She was very athletic and loved being active in sports and especially in cheer leading. She had 5 sons, 21 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.Ĭarolyn grew up in a very loving and close-knit family in Lake Shore, Utah. Carolyn graduated from Spanish Fork High School and was an undergraduate at BYU. Carolyn was born to John Willis Tuckett & Fern Ferguson on in Spanish Fork, Utah. Carolyn Tuckett Walker passed away on January 1, 2023.
